To facilitate the Association's management and be more in line with the situation of our members (all around the world, graduate from Lausanne, Paris and Quebec in the future, ...), the Board proposes to modify Article 6 of the Statuses to eliminate the restriction on the graduation site of the members.

You will be requested to accept this modification by vote, at the same time as the election of the new Board.

IML is developping International Collaborations with foreign Universities interested in our Master in Logistics Systems' Management:

> Exchanges of teachers, material and knowledge have been put in place with the University of Genova, Italy (CIELI - Centro Italiano di Eccellenza sulla Logistica Integrata).

> IML is organizing since 2 years already 2 modules for the European Master in Industrial Management held by Form.a.t., Trento, Italy.

> Discussions are undergoing with University Laval, Québec, Canada, to propose there a similar cursus, with the possibility of students and teachers exchanges, favorising multi-cultural and international case studies.

> Some ideas and contacts to develop our Master Program in developping countries (India, China, Brazil, ...) are also on their way ... we will soon know more about these further developments.

The Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (LIA) and the Chair of Corporate Strategy & Innovation (CSI) at EPFL are working on a research project in the domain of Supply Chain Management, involving 'agents' bidding on combinations of items developing agent-based solutions to form high-quality chains.

The proposal is to work with voluntary companies to direct their research to the practical needs of the company's business and produce mutual benefits for both sides.

The 2nd Alumni Workshop Meeting, on Thursday, February 16th, 2006, at IML, Lausanne, has been a great success, with the participation of 25 members, in a very friendly and relaxed ambiance. Around the very interesting presentation of Frédéric Chiovini about "Innovation and SCM", and around a glass of wine, participants had a good time of unformal experience sharing and networking.

Frédéric's presentation is now online in the Knowledge Garden.

We also remind you that IAA Board and Committee are ready to give their logistical support to any individual initiative in line with the association's objectives. Propose us a subject, a speaker, and a location, and we'll support you with the organization, the invitations, ...

The IML Alumni Association will take an active role in the 5ème Forum Suisse de Logistique, which will take place on the 1st of December, 2005, at EPFL, Lausanne.

In addition to providing speakers to the event, the IAA will also be present thanks to a booth where its activities will be presented, with particular emphasis on its new web site, and its Job Market functionalities, allowing recruiting companies to have a direct access to a community of almost 500 SCM professionals.
